At The Celebration Travel Company, we are experts in arranging holidays for multi-generation families, usually to celebrate a milestone birthday, anniversary, or renewal of vows.

Leading in to 2022, we are expecting to see a surge in travel plans for multi-generation families purely to cherish having everyone in the family back together again. 

Right now, that is a celebration in itself.

We know that Grandparents in particular have missed out on a lot of family time in the last 18 months or so and will be keen to do what they can to see all their family in the one place at the same time.  For many of our multi-generation bookings in the past, our retail agent partners have told us that it is the Grandparents paying most of the way for all the family, so they are guaranteed their quality time with their loved ones.

Fiji is one of the best destinations close to home for reuniting the family after so much time apart during the pandemic, and is expected to be one of the first international destinations available to vaccinated Australians in 2022.

Just a short flight from each of the eastern seaboard capital cities brings families separated by State borders together in the beautiful tropical islands of Fiji. 

At The Celebration Travel Company, we partner with select 4 & 5 star resorts both on the main island of Viti Levu, or the smaller, boutique island resorts where many of the staff are family from the local village.

Accommodation options range from a variety of hotel room categories at the larger resorts, to individual bures or villas, or 3, 4, 5, or 6 bedroom private residences.

Already for next year we are seeing interest in the private residences on Vomo, Six Senses, and Kokomo Private Island.  It seems perhaps for holidays that have been long desired for two years has resulted in an increased available spend by many families, and for others the privacy offered by the residences provides some comfort to families wanting their own time together reducing interaction with others.

And of course when that quality time with the Grandchildren has all got a bit too much for the Grandparents, all our resorts offer supervised Kids Clubs or nanny services, giving Mum & Dad more of a break too.

In addition to our promoted packages, all of which can be extended in duration or alternative accommodation categories usually on offer, we can tailor-make holidays combining two or more resorts, provide value-add options, and of course, celebration themed events, such as cocktail parties, beach barbecues, private destination dining, to name just a few.

We are so excited that with the vaccine rollout continuing in Australia and Fiji, it is looking really positive for travel to resume to Fiji in the New Year, with final protocols relating to international travel within “bubbles” hopefully soon to be announced.
